In the prologue we learn that Royce is a lord that has to give orders to older men and Will find dead people in the woods. When they go back to show royce the deasd people they arent there anymore and because Royce wont listen to Will and gared when they say leave,he gets killed by these things called the others. The first chapter if about the story from the point of a character named duran. He gets to see his first beheading and they end up finding these wolfs who were left behind because there mother was dead. We learn about the different kingdoms in the story and how the north annswers to the old god and the south answers to the other 7 gods. In the chapter with Daenerys we find out that she is being sold by her brother Viserys for an army. Viserys wants to take over. Then in the chapter in Eddards point of view we see that ned wants to become "Hand of the king" and he is trying ot convince robert to do so. Ned has a son Jon S who wants to be on the night watch but everyone keeps telling him he's too young and not equipped enough so he throws a fit. In the chapter of catelyn we find out that Jon A is killed by the Lannisters which forces ned to join forces with robert. Then Ned has a talk with his boo and is trying to determine which of the kids can help and they ultimately end up choosing ned to go on night watch. The next chapter is in the view of Arya who is neds daughter and how she is basically jealous of her sister sansa who is seen a the "girly girl" between the two and gets everything she wants.
