Every time a character enters another place in the scene the mood changes from dark to a softer tone. A good example of this is when Tyrion is in the library and he hears a howling sound. The mood automatically goes to a kind of erie feeling. It is warm in the library and when he goes outside it is cold and bitter. The word dark is repeated 8 times in this chapter and i think that it is profound but this is they chapter where we really get to see Tyrion's real personality. Is Martin trying to say that this is who Tyrion really is? This is also significant because while we are learning more about Tyrion we get to learn about Cercie too. Its hard for me to find the significance in any other words in this section because they don't particularly go with the topic i was leading to. I think that the general theme of darkness and personality is something that will be continued throughout the novel and i think we have way more to learn and this section alludes to something bigger.
