Reading 2 response
In the second section of the reading, Bran has been severely injured, and after some ideas come together we find out that someone purposefully tried to kill him. Also in this section the direwolves become a army to the children. Bran's wolf came in when a mysterious figure tried to kill Bran in his sleep, and Arya's kept the Prince from hurting her. We also learn that Jon has gone to the Wall to serve. I wouldn't say that I have a favorite character yet, but I really enjoy Catelyn. She seems like a strong woman who knows what she must do. For instance, she thinks she knows who the mysterious person is who was in Bran's room that night, but knows she must find out if it is true. So she decides to take care of the problem herself knowing that she must do it for her family's sake. Whenever a woman character is presented to me in there circumstances, I can't help to enjoy reading about their strength in extraneous situations. Some questions that came to me were what is allowing these wild animals to have the intuition, on who to hurt and who to not. I am not sure if they are a symbol or if it is just an additional fictional detail. I just feel like there is some reason for these animals to always step in, in the exactly right time. My biggest struggle is finding out who the true villans are and who are the good guys. I am struggling with this because in most books or stories one character can do no wrong while another do no right. In this story it feels like each character is in a constant struggle with decided what is right and wrong.
