Second Section Game of Thrones

The second section of Game of Thrones has a lot going on throughout. I was really sad to see Ned leave Catelyn and take some of the kids. I don’t think I could handle it if my family was split up like that. I understand that it was something he had to do for the King but still, it was a lot to ask and just basically sucks. Catelyn’s completely overwhelmed by the situation with Bran so she finds it impossible to even look after Winterfell and her youngest son, Rickon. But I was glad to see that after the fire and intruder she was able to snap out of it and pull herself together a bit. I do like Catelyn, it might just be because she is the mother, I’m not sure but she is my favorite. She has a lot to deal with and although at first she doesn’t take good care of Winterfell she recognizes what she needs to do in the end. I also hate the Lannisters especially Jaime, he just seems skeevy and weird. I can’t believe he threw Bran off the wall. That made me incredibly mad, and I really like Bran so I was very happy to see that he woke up and did not end up dying. Joff is another one that I especially do not like. He definitely has the Lannister blood in him and I just cannot stand him. He thinks he is much older than he is and has the metal sword when he should not be carrying that around, or drinking for that matter, drinking with a sword really. That scene was ridiculous where they fought and Sansa just worries too much about her image and wants to be liked. She betrayed her family when she lied about not knowing what happened but I suppose she was just too worried about ruining things with her betrothed, Joff. I’m anxious to see what happens in the future. This book really is entertaining and I do like it—a lot more than I had originally expected to. I was a little confused at the part with the knights where Sansa became frightened. The one knight was different from the others but I was unable to catch why that was. They said something about not having a tongue but then I thought that was a different person?
