Watching
Dany grow throughout the novel has been a lot of fun to see. At first she was a
passive child and now at this point is growing into a strong leader. She
stopped the raping of a girl, she is a stong and fair leader which makes me
root for her to take the iron throne. However, her husband Khal Drogo is now
sick. He is really the reason she has so much power so his life is very
important. If Dany is to lose him she may lose all that she has gained
throughout the book. We then see Sansa actually seeing what is going on. She pleads
to the Lannisters to pardon her father but they only will if he admits crimes.
Robb then agrees to marry someone in order to have more men in battle. This
again goes to the topic of arranged marriage. I think that we have reached the
climax and are now going to the resolution of the book. However I know that all
will not be resolved because this is a series of books. Also Tyrion goes to
battle and comes out of it alive which is very surprising seeing as he is so incompetent
at fighting. When Drogo is dying Dany starts to have her child. I believe that
Dany is slowly losing her power. If Drogo dies she has little power over this
army of Dhothraki. Drogo does not follow the healer’s orders so it is unlikely
he will live.
Question:
Do you agree with the Stark’s decision to arrange a marriage for more soldiers?
