Game of Thrones 7
In this section of the text it seems like everything is going into chaos. Ned is now in prison for committing treason. Sansa, under the wing of Cersei, begs for mercy on her father. Joeffrey agrees to mercy if Ned confesses to his treason. When Varys discusses this with Ned, it is apparent that Ned is struggling with his honor and if confessing is the best thing to do, even though it is not the most honorable thing to do. This really shows the difference it tactics between the Starks and the Lannisters in this Game of Thrones. Cersei now has power through Joeffrey and Sansa while Ned is powerless. I think this Game is also shown with Daneryers who is a similar character to Ned, in how she uses her power. She stops a girl from getting raped and starts to show weakness in the eyes of the Dothraki men and it is insinuated that this might lead to her downfall. Jon is struggling with doing the honorable thing by staying with the nightswatch or leaving to help his brother fight the war. In the meantime Catelyn and Robb are doing everything they can to win this war and in the battle against the Lannisters they capture Jamie really mixing up the pot. In the same battle Tyrion is made to fight and set up by his father to die, yet he lives and proves his worth to his father. It seems like every characters role has switched from the beginning of the book. With this switch of power, seems to be a change of character as well. This section also sets up a lot of foreshadowing for what is to come and it seems like it is only going to go downhill from here.
