Final GOT

I thought it was sad that we had to see Ned die. Joffrey had him killed because of treason, which was sad because Ned was always a likable character who was always one of my favorites. Although it was sad to see him go, I thought his death was possible basically the entire book as he set himself up by going to the kings landing. On the other hand it was kind of a surprise to see him go because this is the first book in a series of many and Ned was a main character. Bran and Rikkon later receive a message from a raven that their father had been killed. For Sansa, she has obviously lost interest in Joffrey because he constantly abuses his power and also because he executed her father. I wonder how Sansa's role will play in future books because I don't see her being with Joffrey in the future. In Dany's chapter,  she kills Drogo to take him out of his misery as he was suffering in an unresponsive coma. Also her unborn child was killed. As she burns Drogo's body she laid there with three dragon eggs that later hatch. This should set up for the dragons playing an important role in her future in the other books. I think Dany possibly had the most interesting developing role in the book as she started out as a weak character who was pushed around and has developed into a strong independent person. I also like how Tyrion is going to the kings landing to take over as Hand of the king. I like that Tyrion got this position because he is another character that has been very easy to like and it is nice to see Tyrion getting some respect from Tywin as he doesn't get this respect very often. For Jon he has returned to the wall before he gets in any real trouble. We also learn that the watch is going to be going beyond the wall in the future which is cool. Jon has always been a character who doesn't really know his place but as he goes over the wall I predict him to be a stronger character as there is sure to be some drama and crazy events beyond the wall. This also sets up for the watch possibly becoming a relevant respectable group again, rather than being recognized as lesser people. I am also interested to see what happens in the North's future as Robb has been named king because of Ned's passing. I predict a fiery Robb in the future that wages a war to retake the throne in future books. The entire ending left a lot of cliffhangers rather than answers which sets up for drama and transition into the other books. I thought the book was interesting but I just don't know if it is something I would continue to read. However I thought the book was interesting enough to get into the tv series.
