Response to articles

After reading the articles and hearing the different statistics that have come from the experiments, I continue to believe that most of the violent acts that take place do not have a strong correlation to violent video games. I think that most of the people that commit the horrible shootings that have taken place have moral issues. However, I do believe that playing violent video games might increase someones aggression towards people.
The first article was especially interesting because of the stats that were thrown in to backup its main points. One of its statistics said that "98.7% of adolescents play video games to some degree". I don't think that if almost every adolescent was playing video games, only a teeny tiny number of those people would commit a violent act. If the correlation between the two was a stronger, there would be many more people committing violent acts.
In regards to the second article, I think that violence within movies can sometimes inspire people to act a certain way. Although, I do believe that movie violence doesn't encourage someone to go as far as shooting innocent people. Once again, I think that all has to do with a mental issue that the person has.
