Before I read these articles I did not believe that violence is connected to media. I do not agree with the first article saying that there is a connection of violent video games and adolescent behavior. Though children are being exposed to games like Call of Duty today, this is not much different from games children played in the past. Before video games, there were toy guns and kids played cowboys and indians. Kids playing out violent actions is not modern, and the current media is not responsible for todays violent actions. Also, there are stories of aggressive people taking their anger and frustration out using video games and not others which is obviously a positive. I personally do not play games like Call of Duty or other violent based games, however I don't believe that these games drive anyone towards violent actions.
