Prior to the readings, I did not believe that violence is connected to the media. I always thought it had to do with the people and the other problems they were dealing with like family, disease, or etc. In the first article I do not agree with their saying that there is a connection between violence and video games. I do not agree with this because when I was little I played Grand Theft Auto but, I would never go out and actually rob someone or kill someone. When I went to go see the "Dark Knight Rises" in theaters, I admit I was scared because of what happened in Aurora. But I knew it had to deal with a kid who had problems not a kid who played violent video games. In, my opinion I do not see what is wrong with kids playing violent video games, you just have to watch over them and that is all. I grew up playing violent video games and I turned ouot to be just fine.
