Prior to reading these articles my thoughts and views on violence in the media is the same as many other americans, negative. I agree with the first article with its connection to violent video games and adolescent behavior. I believe that when children at young ages are exposed to this violence they grow up adapting a behavior that reflects these "loose morals". However, I believe that video games such as Call of Duty should be used for training in the military for similar life-threatening conditions they may face while serving over seas. This will help prepare them for battle, without the risk of loosing their lives. Yet, children should not be exposed to this violence and drama at young ages- even if they have interest in going into the military in the future; this could have developmental problems when they mature realizing fantasy from reality, right from wrong. After reading these articles my feelings to not change, but it was interesting to read others thoughts and arguments on this ongoing issue.
